GWAII HAANAS ARCHIPELAGO MANAGEMENT BOARD (AMB)

The AMB develops policies and makes decisions regarding Gwaii Hanaas. Gwaii Haanas is comanaged by the Council of the Haida Nation and the government of Canada (Parks Canada) through the Archipelago Management Board.

GWAII TRUST SOCIETY BOARD
The Gwaii Trust is an Islands’ trust fund. A large portion of the interest earned from investment of the trust is disbursed to the people of Haida Gwaii through a variety of Gwaii Trust programs.

GWAII FOREST SOCIETY
The Gwaii Forest Society was founded to contribute to the long-term sustainability of forest resources on Haida Gwaii and to support community stability through adjustment to changes in the forest economy. A nine member board of directors is responsible for the overall policies and practices of the Gwaii Forest Society.

FIRST PEOPLES' CULTURAL FOUNDATION

The First Peoples’ Cultural Foundation is dedicated to the preservation of aboriginal language, culture and heritage in BC. The foundation works with its sister organization, the First Peoples’ Heritage, Language and Culture Council to ensure fair and equal access to all funds raised and to all programs available. Tamara Davidson has been appointed to the board by the CHN.

NAIKOON PARK ADVISORY BOARD
Naikoon Park was designated as a provincial park in 1973. The Naikoon Park Advisory Board makes management decisions regarding the Park. Captain Gold is the CHN representative on the advisory board.

COASTAL FIRST NATIONS /TURNING POINT (CFN)
The Board Members of the Coastal First Nations of the North Pacific Coast work towards creating an ecologically and economically sustainable coast. Guujaaw is president of Coastal First Nations and Arnie Bellis is appointed to the board by CHN.

FIRST NATIONS SUMMIT
The Summit is the forum in which First Nations of BC come together to address issues associated with treaty negotiations and other topics of common concern. Arnie Bellis is the CHN representative at the First Nations Summit meetings.
