I am writing on behalf of myself and many others who live in northern New York State, and have been following the news reports of the blockade of the Queen Charlotte Islands by the Haida Nation and others.  I am a lawyer representing the Onondaga Nation in New York, and we are facing a similar situation regarding the failure by the federal and state governments to consult the Nation on crucial environmental and land use decisions.
