A six-person team went to work on the script for the upcoming feature-length movie that will be filmed entirely in Xaayda language. Fluent northern dialect speaker Ilskyaalas Dolores Churchill and fluent southern dialect speaker GwaaGanad Diane Brown worked together from December 18-20 at SHIP in HlGaagilada. They had assistance from language champion Jaskwaan, script-writer and director Gwaai Edenshaw, as well as tech assistants Guhlgiijuu Kyle Shannon and ‘Yaanahuu Geoff Horner.
