Protected Areas remain closed for general access, but food harvesting is an important right and way of life. Beaches from Wiah Point to Nee Kun are open for Haida citizens to harvest Razor clams. HAIDA NATION COMMERCIAL
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The Secretariat of the Haida Nation, mandated to manage assets on behalf of the Haida Nation, is now accepting expressions of interest for the following commercial fishing opportunity. 

Shellfish

  • 1 Geoduck license and 22,400 pounds of quota (4 blocks)

DEADLINE: Friday, November 27, 2020 at 4:00 PM

Expression of interest must include vessel name, VRN, length of vessel, price per pound for the geoduck quota (SHN asks for a down payment of $10.00 per pound before the license is transferred to vessel).

All vessels must be registered to commercially fish DFO licenses and abide by all safety and licensing regulations.

The SHN is seeking individuals that are willing to take Haida divers.
