Supernatural Beings and their historical narratives exemplify “the Haida’s values, customs, rituals, laws, and relationships with the earthly and metaphysical realms, and reinforce a worldview through which the natural environment is a sacred domain, not to be dominated or exploited” (Out of Concealment, Female Supernatural Beings of Haida Gwaii, gid7ahl-gudsllaay lalaxaaygans Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson). The Xaaynangaa Naay House of Life new Wellness Centre in HlGaagilda Skidegate, intends to pay respect to these powerful Beings, bringing their spirit into the light for Haida citizens and people of Haida Gwaii.
