As an Ecologist Team Leader, you will:
Lead a field-based marine science and conservation program focused on ecosystem monitoring, active management, restoration, and species at risk recovery.
Provide science-based advice to support decision making
Supervise and lead a small field team
Benefits
As a federal government employee, you will receive a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan and health, dental and group insurance. Due to its remote location Gwaii Haanas is categorized as an Isolated Post providing certain additional benefits:
Isolated Post Allowances range from approximately $10,314 to $17,189 per year based on if the employee has dependants or not.
Vacation Travel Assistance is provided once a year of approximately $2,013.16 for each eligible member of the household.
Travel associated with non-elective medical and dental treatment, bereavement, or compassionate leave may be eligible for reimbursement.
