$26.82 – $ 27.92 per hour based on experience, Full-time 35-40 hrs. per week

DESCRIPTION
As part of the team, the Policy Administrative Assistant reports to the Policy Manager and is responsible for administrative support for the Policy Department. The assistant conducts research, assesses and analyzes existing policies, organizes meetings, and collaborates with all appropriate departments, committees, and CHN Council as assigned.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain effective administrative systems to track data information and decisions concerning policy.
- Provide information on existing policies, identify and analyze policy issues, and prepare detailed and written documents and reports to support policy options and design.
- Conduct systematic policy information research and reviews, including identifying, gathering, and interpreting information.
Prepare written summaries, minutes, briefing notes, summaries, reviews and reports.
- Provide regular reports to the policy manager, as requested
- Work collaboratively with the team, other departments, and professional networks communicating
- Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on attention to detail
- Proficient knowledge of Office 365
- Demonstrated experience in a collaborative team environment
- Effective time management skills
- Foundational understanding of Information systems
- Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant is considered an asset
- Possession of a valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license
- Willingness to travel and attend public events as required is a requirement
