Executive Assistant Communication & Culture

DESCRIPTION  

The Executive Assistant reports to the Director of Communications and Culture. The EA coordinates and oversees office administrative duties, supports the Director, and assists in program planning and delivery. With the Director, they will create systems to track, organize and monitor the department’s functions and finances.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage systems for documentation and financial control of the Directorate
  • Organize meetings and take minutes
  • Assist with the coordination of projects as requested
  • Manage enquiries and draft responses
  • Manage the Director’s calendar
  • Other related duties

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12, with a preference for training in administrative courses or an equivalent combination of experience and two years office experience.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational, writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a multi-task environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to build relationships, work effectively in a team, and adapt creatively to changing situations.
  • Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office
  • Class 5 Driver’s Licence
