$1300 for 4-day contract includes training, logistics, advance poll, election day and supervision of Election Staff.

Description:
The REO role is crucial in overseeing the concise operation of multiple voting locations, ensuring that all voting processes are conducted in accordance with electoral regulations. Working with the Elections Team, the REO oversees and ensures the confidentiality and safety of voters and security of ballots.
Qualifications:
- Ability to remain impartial and exhibit patience when interacting with a variety of people.
- Strong supervisory, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous electoral experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work long hours, multitask, and handle various situations calmly and efficiently.
- Access to a cell phone and transportation for transporting supplies and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Management:
- Oversee voting station within the region and manage election officials assigned to each location.
- Ensure election officials adhere to procedures and policies.
Setup and Coordination:
- Set up and secure all assigned voting places the day voting begins.
- Ensure staffing, supplies, and layout meet the requirements at each voting place.
Communication and Liaison:
- Serve as a liaison between the voting region and the Head Electoral Officer.
- Contact election officials to confirm their availability and schedules.
Problem Resolution and Assistance:
- Working with Elections Team to resolve issues as they arise
- Provide assistance to voters, including those with disabilities.
Logistics and Security:
- Secure and manage the transportation and storage of ballots and voting equipment at each voting place.
- Ensure all voting stations open and close on time
Other tasks as assigned by the Head Electoral Officer (HEO).
Working Conditions:
Hours and Environment:
- Long workdays, typically 15 hours, starting early and ending late.
- Meal breaks are provided, but REOs need to stay on site.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods and lifting to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable footwear is recommended.
