Social Media Coordinator

Description:
The Social Media Coordinator will work with the Communications Team to create and manage engaging content for CHN’s social media presence.


Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Work cooperatively with other Secretariat of the Haida Nation employees
  • Work with the Communications Team to produce content and manage social media streams.
  • Follow issues, decisions and strategic direction of CHN
  • Assist/lead in technical equipment management and set-up for regular meetings
  • Other Related Duties

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Haida politics, clan, and family social structures
  • Knowledge of the procedures of the Council of the Haida Nation
  • Good understanding and use of social media apps and analytics
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat and Instagram
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong capacity for teamwork and a collaborative approach
  • Proven capacity for setting and meeting deadlines, and adapting creatively to change
  • Class 5 Driver’s License
