Call for Proposed Amendments to the

Constitution of the Haida Nation

The Council of the Haida Nation is accepting proposals for amendments to the Constitution of the Haida Nation that will be brought forward to the House of Assembly to be held in October 2020. All proposed amendments will be published and advertised two months prior to voting at the House of Assembly, as required by the Constitution.

Citizens can obtain a copy of the current Constitution of the Haida Nation at the CHN offices in G̱aw Tlagee Old Massett and HlG̱aagilda Skidegate, or on the Haida Nation website, <haidanation.ca>

Requirements:                     
Recommended amendments must include the name and phone number of the person making them. The proposed amendment must be legible, and must appear exactly as you would like it to appear in the Constitution. 

Deadline for Submission: August 19, 2020 – 7:00PM
