Dear community,

Healthy Haidas, Haida Gwaii Museum, Council of the Haida Nation, and Haida Child and Family Services are working together to Honor, Hold-up and Celebrate our Residential School and Mormon Placement Survivors, and all of those who did not make it home.

Due to the pandemic preventing large gatherings, separate events are being planned for HlGaagilda Skidegate, and Gaw Tlagée Old Massett.

Your lived experiences and input are most important to us, and we are doing our best to locate and contact all our survivors, whether on or off-island.

If you are from Skidegate, and have not been contacted by our team please reach out to ‘Waanaa – Jade Boyko at 778-260-0188.

If you are from Old Massett, and have not been contacted by our team please contact Sarah Stevenson at 250-626-7836.

Please contact us as soon as you can so we can plan accordingly.

Haawa,
