PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Council of the Haida Nation (CHN) is seeking quotes from local contractors for brushing and grubbing the lot in preparation for the laying of gravel.


TIMELINE

We would like the work to be scheduled to begin mid February 2026. The work is expected to be completed within two (2) working weeks of commencement.

SCOPE OF WORK
The intent is to create a brush‑free, gravel‑ready, functional worksite surrounding the buildings and along the road frontage. The work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Brushing and grubbing of the identified area

  • Chipping alder trees into several piles for agricultural use

  • Piling coniferous trees separately

  • Piling all stumps and brush separately

  • Transporting stumps, coniferous material, and brush to the stump dump for disposal

The successful contractor will demonstrate efficiency, professionalism, and the ability to complete the work in a timely manner.


QUOTATION REQUIREMENTS
Submissions should include:

  • Total cost (including all labour, equipment, and disposal fees)

  • Estimated duration of work

  • Equipment to be used

  • Any assumptions or exclusions

  • Confirmation of availability for the proposed schedule

 

SITE LOCATION & VISITS

The location of interest is at the industrial park in Masset, on Penna Rd
