Camp Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Rediscovery T’áalan Stl’ang Haida Gwaii Society is seeking a dynamic and responsible individual to join our team as a Camp Supervisor. In this role, you will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our Rediscovery Program in a camp setting, focusing on the health and safety of all participants, staff, and volunteers. Collaborating closely with Elders and Knowledge Keepers, you will help provide participants with a meaningful and enriching experience in this extraordinary place. This position requires a deep commitment to the mission and core values of Rediscovery. As a Camp Supervisor, you will serve as a role model, demonstrating positive behaviours and fostering a supportive environment for the community, guests, and staff.
Position Details:
Start Date: May 15, 2026
Term: Fixed-term seasonal contract, 3.5 months per year (May 15 to August 31,2026), for 2 consecutive years, with the possibility of extension to mid-September each year.
Compensation:
In Camp: $325–$350 per day, based on experience and qualifications
In Town: $32.50–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Primary Camp: T’áalan Stl’ang (formerly known as Lepas Bay)
Administrative Work: Old Massett
Reports to: Rediscovery T’áalan Stl’ang Haida Gwaii Society Executive Director

Senior Guide
Job Summary:
Rediscovery T’aalan Stl’ang Haida Gwaii Society is seeking motivated, dependable, and community-minded individuals to join our team as Senior Guides for the 2026 summer season.
As part of the Rediscovery Team, the Senior Guides works alongside the Camp Supervisor, Junior Guides, staff, and volunteers to deliver the Rediscovery Program directly to participants. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to foster a safe, supportive, and culturally grounded environment. Senior Guides model positive behaviour, share knowledge, mentor Junior Guides, and ensure program activities align with Haida values.
Position Details:
Start Date: June 1, 2026
Term: Fixed-term seasonal contract (June 1 – August 31, 2026), with possible extension to mid-September
Compensation:
In Camp: $250–$265 per day
In Town: $25.00–$26.50 per hour
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications

Junior Guide
Job Summary:
Rediscovery T’aalan Stl’ang Haida Gwaii Society is seeking motivated, dependable, and community-minded individuals to join our team as Junior Guides for the 2026 summer season.
The Junior Guide position is an entry-level leadership role within the Rediscovery T’aalan Stl’ang program. This role is designed for individuals interested in developing skills in youth mentorship, land-based education, cultural facilitation, and community leadership.
As a member of the Rediscovery Team, the Junior Guide works closely with the Camp Supervisor and Senior Guides to help deliver the Rediscovery Program in a safe, enriching, and culturally grounded environment. Junior Guides play an active role in daily camp life while building confidence, responsibility, and leadership capacity.
Through mentorship, hands-on experience, and ongoing learning, this role serves as a foundation for future growth within Rediscovery, including potential advancement to Senior Guide positions in future seasons.
Rediscovery is committed to building Haida leadership capacity by supporting emerging leaders in developing the skills, cultural grounding, and experience needed to guide future generations at T’aalan Stl’ang.

Camp Cook
The Rediscovery T’aalan Stl’ang Haida Gwaii Society is seeking a reliable, organized, and positive individual to join our team as a Camp Cook for the 2026 summer season. Our program provides Haida cultural, stewardship camps for youth (ages 10 - 18) at T'aalan Stl'ang (Lepas Bay) in the Duu Guusd Heritage Site/Conservancy on the North end of Haida Gwaii.
Position Details
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Term: June 1 – August 31, 2026 (possible extension to mid-September)
• Location: Camp-based position at T’aalan Stl’ang (formerly known as Lepas Bay). The Cook will reside and work on-site during camp sessions.
• Compensation: $300 per day in camp | $30.00 per hour in town
Reports to: Rediscovery T’aalan St’lang Haida Gwaii Society Executive Director.
