PUBLIC NOTICE - CANADIAN NAVIGABLE WATERS ACT
The Council of the Haida Nation hereby gives notice that a submission has been added to the Common Project Search (online registry) pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act described herein and its description.
Pursuant to paragraph 4(1) of the said Act,
Silva Services Ltd., under contract by the Council of the Haida Nation, will be undertaking a minor work in accordance with the requirements set out on the External Submission Site, on the online Common Project Search Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/) and under registry number 2026-517478, a description of the following work:
Dredging: Natural erosion impacting the navigability of Louise Narrows will be excavated to remediate the passage back to the previous navigable width. A barge will bring in an excavator, which will unload and move the beach gravel to above the high tide line.
The work will occur inn Louise Narrows, at 52.9544694444, -131.9025916666, between August 6th, 2026 and August 31st, 2026.
