Gwaii Haanas: Resource Conservation
Join the Gwaii Haanas Resource Conservation Team this summer! We have 3–6 month opportunities starting May 2026 for enthusiastic individuals interested in the stewardship of land, water, and people.
Positions:
Resource Management Technician I (EG-01) Salary: $53,898 to $67,757 plus $10,451 to $17,419 (IPA)
Resource Management Technician II (EG-02) Salary: $59,291 to $74,534 plus $10,451 to $17,419 (IPA)
Resource Management Officer I (EG-03) Salary: $65,216 to $81,985 plus $10,451 to $17,419 (IPA)
Work may include:
supporting natural and cultural conservation projects
assisting with field research and monitoring
conducting field surveys at ancestral Haida village sites
documenting cultural and archaeological resources
collecting information on plants, animals, and environmental conditions
supporting emergency response and search and rescue
The role includes extensive boat travel and week-long field shifts.
